Chapter 7
Chapter 7
On the day of my discharge, lan was unaware. The doctor informed me, but I didn’t tell Ian.
I carried my things home, but when I reached the door, I couldn’t unlock the fingerprint lock.
I thought it was because my fingers were dry, but even after wiping them, it didn’t work. I tried the password, but it showed an error.
fan changed the password?
As I wondered about this, a familiar voice sounded behind me.
“Mila, you’re discharged? Why didn’t you tell Ian so he could pick you up?”
I turned to see Sofia standing behind me, carrying several luxury shopping bags.
I didn’t say anything, but Sofia walked past me and entered the password.
I was stunned to see her input Sofia’s birthday.
Ian had given our marital home to his first love and changed the password to her birthday?
How dare he? He promised me he would cut ties with Sofia, but secretly he brought her home. Sofia opened the door and invited me in like a hostess.
“Mila, sorry, I didn’t know you were being discharged today. I haven’t had a chance to tidy up.” I walked in quickly. The decor had changed completely.
The plants I placed were gone, replaced by trendy artworks.
I felt a shock and pushed past Sofia, hurrying upstairs.
When I opened the baby’s room, my heart sank completely.
The nursery I had carefully arranged for my child was now a storage room.
The crib was gone, the baby clothes in the wardrobe had disappeared, and the room was filled with unopened shopping bags and shoeboxes.
I trembled with anger, tears streaming down.
“Ian was worried about me staying in a hotel alone, so he brought me back. I had a lot of stuff with nowhere to put it, so he cleared this room for me. Mila, you don’t mind, right?”
Sofia stood behind me, cautiously asking.
Hearing her voice, the last string holding my composure snapped. I grabbed her hand frantically. “Where are my baby’s things? Where did you throw them?”
Sofia was startled, then quickly shook off my hand like she’d touched something dirty.
“Mila, what are you crazy about? Your baby is dead. Those things are useless. They were bad luck, so I threw them all in the trash.”
“I’ll be honest with you. From the day I came back, lan has been mine completely. You and your baby mean nothing to him.”
I rushed up and pinned Sofia against the wall, slapping her hard.
“You better pray I find my baby’s things, or I’ll kill you.”
Sofia, scared by my look, covered her slapped face and dared not move.
Ian somehow learned of my discharge and hurried back.
Seeing me pin Sofia down, he rushed over.
“Mila, are you crazy?”
I pushed Ian aside, ignoring him.
“Yes, I’m crazy. I wish I could kill both of you.”
Ian immediately grabbed me, trying to calm me down.
“Mila, calm down.‘
“How can I calm down when you threw away all my baby’s things for Sofia?” I roared.
Ian froze, then looked at the room, his eyes turning cold.
“Sofia Moore, didn’t I tell you not to touch anything in this room?”
