For His Lover He Abandoned Us by SIAI

Chapter 1

Chapter 1

Abandoned by my husband on the highway, I was in a car accident.

My husband abandoned me, eight months pregnant, on the highway to pick up his first love returning from abroad.

I didn’t expect to get into a car accident on my way home. Enduring the severe pain, I called Ian. “Sofia hasn’t been back in so many years. She’s unfamiliar with many things. Can you be more understanding? Stop calling to bother me.”

Seeing the blood all over the ground, my heart turned to ashes.

It’s time to let go of this marriage.

“Alright, I’ll come pick you up immediately.”

Ian hung up the phone and gave me a cold glance.

“Sofia is back. I have to pick her up. I’ll have the driver come get you later. Just wait at the service area.”

Hearing the name Sofia made my heart skip a beat.

Sofia Moore was lan’s first love.

They were together for three high–profile years. Then Sofia, ignoring Ian’s pleas, decisively chose to go abroad to pursue her dreams.

I lowered my head and touched my swollen pregnant belly, biting my lip.

“Can you not go? The baby is eight months old. The doctor said my placenta is low, and I could go into labor at any time.”

“Mila, I know your condition better than anyone. Don’t think you can use such low tricks to tie me down. Sofia is waiting for me, and the driver will be here sooň.”

Ian didn’t even spare me a glance before opening the car door and getting in.

Watching Ian drive away, my heart felt like it had fallen into an ice cave.

Today was lan’s grandmother’s birthday. I had just accompanied him back to his hometown to have a meal with his family.

The sky gradually darkened, and the wind carried a biting chill.

Afraid the driver wouldn’t find me, I stood at the service area entrance. After a long time, my feet began to ache.

When the driver arrived and saw my disheveled appearance, he sighed softly.

“Ma’am, let’s go home.”

I nodded and got into the car.

The car wasn’t going fast, but I felt extremely uneasy. The baby in my belly was unusually active, kicking me continuously.

“David, please drive slower. I’m not feeling well.”

David nodded and slowed down, but at that moment, the black car ahead suddenly swerved wildly from left to right.

David screamed and then turned the steering wheel hard to the right.

I didn’t have time to react. All I heard was a loud “bang” and the impact threw me against the front

seat.

“Ma’am, get out quickly, the car is going to catch fire.”

David crawled out first, but I was stuck in the seatbelt and couldn’t move.

“I can’t move, the seatbelt is stuck.”

David found a small knife from somewhere, opened the car door, and started cutting the seatbelt. By the time I crawled out of the car, it was billowing thick white smoke.

My belly hurt intensely. When I reached down, my hand was covered in blood.

A warm stream flowed down my thigh. Crying in panic, I grabbed my phone.

As soon as the call connected, fan’s cold voice came from the other end.

“Sofia hasn’t been back in so many years. She’s unfamiliar with many things. Can you be more understanding? Stop calling to bother me?”

“Ian, help me, save our baby.”

Clinging to a last shred of hope, I cried weakly.

“Mila, what trick are you playing now? If you want to die, just go, but don’t take my child with you. Don’t ever use the child to trouble me again, or I won’t let you off.”

Ian hung up decisively after saying that.

Hearing the busy signal on the other end, my heart turned to ashes.

The baby in my belly suddenly kicked, making my heart clench. I reached out and started crawling to the side with difficulty.

“Save my baby, please save my baby.”

But my vision grew blurrier, and my consciousness started to fade. It seemed like someone was calling

my name.

“Miss, wake up, you can’t sleep. You mustn’t sleep.”

But I was so tired, my eyelids too heavy to open.
