Fae Or Not I'm Coming For You: It's Only The Beginning

The last several days have been complete chaos. When I showed up in Paisley I was going to go straight to the Alpha’s house but when my heads informed me of a situation I had to stop there first. The information they gave me was not what I was expecting, but it helped with what I was about to do. As I approach the Alpha’s house I can hear my mate arguing with someone. I try to figure out who the person is but then she is silent. I stand there waiting for the Alpha to announce what he is about to do before I make my entrance. It does not take long and I decide to knock first instead of just entering. More suspense that way. After I walk in and I manage to get Chris to safety things get chaotic. Somehow some of the people have escaped. I personally managed to catch most of them again but not before they lit the tree Chris was in on fire.

After I brought her to the house I usually stay in when I was in town I sat next to her the entire time. I just could not seem to leave her side. It was almost like if I left her side she was going to disappear. She had been out for a few days and my Heads kept me apprised of everything while I was occupied with Chris. There were only a few people left to find that escaped. My heads are still trying to figure out how they managed to escape in the first place.

Chris had woken up and finally figured out we were mates and made me work for it, which I can not say I did not blame her one bit. But once we had finally started the mating process I could feel that evil presence lurking in the woods. I did not want anything to happen to Chris again after being apart for as long as we have. I was thankful but also disappointed that Hydrus had shown up. I love him and I welcome him back into my life with open arms but I am unsure how Chris will take it. After sending Chris off with Hydrus and unable to complete our mating I took off into the woods after the evil lurking.

I stood at the edge of the woods staring at the Loch that I was just at with Chris as the people I have been looking for approach and start sniffing around. I growled and lunged after them as one decided to lick the ground where Chris left her juices from our partial mating. Just as I was about to make contact with the lowlife Alpha, the two of them disappeared into thin air, making it so I landed face first on the ground. After hours of searching we gave up on finding them and I ordered everyone back to the Castle. Some of my people stayed behind keeping an eye out for anything.

At the Castle I made sure that my apartments was furnished and stocked for both of my mates. I had a feeling that Hydrus would be able to stay when he should not be able to. But I would not question anything that the Gods and Goddesses do. I got some much needed sleep that was full of dreams of my mates. I had gotten up early and made sure everything was ready and headed down to the pond by the Castle.

CHRISTIANA

Swimming for a few minutes the scenery changed slightly, then we surfaced, and there stood a castle in the distance. We swam to the shore and climbed out. Fenrir scooped me up just as I stood. He was twirling around while I giggled. But suddenly I did not feel so good. I pushed hard on Fenrir and jump stumbled out of his arms. I landed on my knees just in time for my stomach to release all over the ground. Hydrus knelt down next to me. He pulled my hair out of the way and rubbed my back. He kept giving me little kisses on the top of my head. Fenrir was freaking out thinking something was wrong.

“My King you need to calm down. Everything is fine. You just need to be more careful,” Hydrus said.

I looked up at Fenrir and said, “Fenrir I am ok. I was just nauseous. I am sorry I scared you.”

Fenrir knelt down on the other side of me a pulled a hanker chief from his pocket and proceeded to clean my face off. Hydrus had produced a bottle of clear liquid from thin air and uncorked it before handing it to me. I looked over at him and he just smiled and nodded. I drank the contents and immediately my nausea was gone.

“Thank you Hydrus,” I said handing him the empty bottle.

Fenrir put a robe around me before I stood up. I think he finally realized I was still in my birthday suit. The only good thing about having long hair is covers a lot when your naked. I turn to Hydrus and throw myself in his arms. He wraps me in a tight but gentle hug.

“I am only a call away. I can not stay in the human realm for too long other wise my Kelpie will start to die. I love you and I will be here any time you need me.” Hydrus whispers in my ear, then gives me one last kiss before he walks in to the water and disappears from view.

HYDRUS

I can not believe I am walking away from her. My Kelpie is driving me nuts telling me that I need to stay close. But I can not handle being this close and unable to hold her. I decided to go see my mom and tell her the news. As I swim I kept thinking about how Chris glowed with my babe inside her womb. I must have been too lost in my thoughts because I ended up swimming head first in to my mothers front door. My mother heard the bang and opened the door immediately. She watched me standing there just shaking my head. When I was finished she pulled me in to a hug and dragged me in side her house. Once in side I went to the kitchen and got us drinks. I brought them in to the living room and we sat in silence for a couple minutes.

“What brings you by my son.” My mom asks.

“I wanted to come by and let you know I met my mate and she is with babe.” I said.

“What do you mean you met your mate and she is with babe?” My mother questioned.

I explained everything that happened and she sat in stunned silence for a while. I slowly drank my drink waiting for her to unfreeze and bombard me with loads of questions. She finally comes out of her frozen state, then throws herself in my arms and starts crying. I let her cry while I rub her back in soothing circles til she calms down.

“Tell me, what is her name?” My mom asks.

“Cairistiona Deaghaidh” I tell her.

My mother inhales sharply and looks pale. As she starts to tremble I look at her in concern. I know the rumors of my mate but I can feel in my bones none of the rumors are true.

“Mother why do you look at me so?” I ask, “Please do not tell me you believe those rumors?”

My mother shakes her head then coughs a couple times. Once she is finally composed she looks at me and says, “You have a strong mate and she will be gifted with many mates. Do not let jealousy rule you or you will lose her. She is not what people believe she is. Her soul is pure and she will cleanse this land of the evil it has wrought. You will need to stand strong and fight for not only her but your babes. Are you ready for this task my son?”

I stare at my mother completely dumbstruck by what she just said but I managed to squeak out a, “yes.”

Clearing my throat I went to question my mother when I could hear Chris pleading with me to come back to her. Agreeing I cut the link and explained to my mother what was going on. I promised her I would bring Chris to see her soon and headed back to the Castle.

CHRISTIANA

Fenrir sees the tears in my eyes and picks me up bridal style. He walks us to the Castle and up to a massive suite on the top floor. He gently sets me down on the toilet in the bathroom and starts a bubble bath. As the tub is filling Fenrir steps out of the bathroom and disappears for a couple minutes. He grabbed a couple robes and hung them on the back of the bathroom door. I was surprised that there was three robes hanging but Fenrir did not notice me looking at them. He went over to the tub and checked to make sure the water was a good temp. When he was satisfied he helped me stand up and slowly pulled the robe down my body. His hands grazed my baby bump and he stopped and looked down. Then he looked back up at my face. I gave him a small smile and nod to let him know that yes I was pregnant and it was ok to touch my belly.

He knelt in front of me and put his ear to my belly. As he listened to the babes heartbeat he had a soft smile of his face and tears running down his face. I was not sure why he was crying because I was not getting distress signals from him. He gently laid a kiss on my belly and slowly stood and kissed me. It was a soft slow kiss. He was being very tender with me. After that sweet kiss he pulls away and disrobes himself then picks me up and brings us in to the tub.

Fenrir sits behind me in the tub and pulls me so I am leaning against his chest. He lightly rubs my little baby bump while we enjoy our peace together. Fenrir is the first to break the spell.

“If I had to choose anyone as a worthy mate I would have picked Hydrus. I am glad he is one of our mates. I am overjoyed you have a babe growing in your belly. Though now is not the best time for it to happen. But I am over joyed none the less,” Fenrir says.

“I am glad too. He has been very caring and gentle with me sense we found out I was pregnant yesterday,” I replied.

“Yesterday! So this did not happen after your transformation?” Fenrir asked.

I turned around so I could look at him while I spoke, “No we did not mate after my transformation. Just after we had reached shore I fell and transformed back to human. My body had been injured in the Human realm so it pulled me back from the other realm. I remember Hydrus saying “No I just found you. I can not lose you.” Then I woke up.”

“Hmm that is weird because you were never actually injured. Your tree house broke apart because someone set a fire in the forest. I caught you before you hit the ground. I sat next to you til you woke up. I mean I did leave for less then a minute to get your breakfast which was right outside the door. So no, no injury. Maybe you felt the tree’s pain while it burned. I had my men put it out. The tree will survive but it will need some care at first,” Fenrir explained, “I have some people caring for the tree for you. I know the tree was a safe haven and you cared for it. I also made sure that your carriers are taken care of and moved them to a place here on the castle grounds. I had them move the whole tree so not to destroy the branches that made the cage. It was pretty ingenious of you to utilize the built in cage of the tree.”

He looked very proud as he spoke to me. I reached out and caressed the side of his cheek. “Thank you my love,” I say before leaning in and giving him a peck on the cheek.

“What is wrong my love? I can tell you are not happy,” Fenrir asked.

“It is just I feel like I have this hole where Hudrus is supposed to be and this month is going to be really difficult with out him here as well,” I explain.

“What do you mean by this month? What are you not telling me?” Fenrir asks.

“Well after I found out I was pregnant I asked Hydrus how long a Kelpie pregnancy is and he told me they are only a month long. He also told me that Kelpie’s have been having conception issues.” I explained sadly.

“Call him.” Fenrir says with finality, “you need him as much as I do but on a different level.”

I look at Fenrir and decide I will try. I let myself sink back in my mind and call out to Hydrus. “Hydrus. Hydrus. Come to me please. I need you,” I call out. “Are you sure. We have not been separated that long. Do you not want to spend time with Fenrir by yourself?” He asked. “We both need you. He is the one that told me to call you to us. So please come and stop questioning it,” I say desperately.
