Fae Or Not I'm Coming For You: It's Only The Beginning

“We can not believe you did that.” They say.

“What can you not believe? The fact that I let my mates mate me to heal me or that I let Acrux test a theory on me and my ability to have children again,” I say happily.

“The time line is off now. This should never have happened.” They say.

“Yeah well, who’s fault is that? Huh. Oh yeah my other mates who abandoned me when I needed them the most. I had to give birth to babes that were in their forms which caused so much damage and I was bleeding out. I lost so much power I could have died. I am thankful for my mates for saving me. If a babe is what they want then that is what they will get.” I say

“You are correct. We are not mad at you. You are doing what is needed to stay alive and keep your mates happy. Plus these two mates should be more apt at helping rid the Kingdom of those that escaped. I know you want to give all your mates babes. We prevented you from falling pregnant. There is too much danger and too much to do. Your babes need to grow first and fill their roles before you can have anymore children. Also you would not have died it would have just put you in a coma til your body healed fully. You have no idea how powerful you are. You are also the first that has ever given birth to three babes in their forms while lacking the energy and to do so. You are an amazing women and will only grow more into yourself. Do us proud and we will be right here with you.” They said then I was pushed forward to the front again.

I come to with Acrux staring at me with a smile on his face. Then he gets serious and asks, “how are you feeling?”

“I am feeling good. I have no pain and I feel very energized,” I reply.

“Good. Now tell me about this Kingdom.” He says.

“Well first I do not know a ton about it. I only remember the last two years of my life. But I will tell you what I can. Fenrir is the King. He has ruled for hundreds of years without a queen by his side. He started neglecting or let me back track, he had been distracted for the past few years by a women that was placed in to the Kingdom by my old and now very deceased Alpha. She is one of the things we have to take care of when we get back.” I said.

“Why was she not taken care of when Fenrir found out what she did? I am assuming he found out. What kinds of things did she distract him from as well as how did she do it?” He asked.

“She was imprisoned and interrogated. She was left in the prison after the interrogation. She managed to manipulate the guards to let her out. See she was pregnant but pretended it was the Kings. But that truth has come out and she killed her own pup and caged her wolf somehow. She picked fights with other people and blamed them, got herself in to Fenrir’s bed a few times but Fenrir never got to tell me the full story before crap hit the fan. Her main goal was to keep him busy so my old Alpha could steal power from untransformed people and strip them of their forms. He also had people kidnap me and wiped my memory. He raped young women then stole their power.” I explained.

“Ok, so have the people that were involved in all this been taken care of?” He asked.

“Less then we thought were originally involved. I found that there are a lot of people in the Kingdom that are a part of it. I found this out while at the sentencing. My old Alpha somehow managed to kill the Elders but we are not sure how he did it. They were enforcers of the laws and ceremonies in place of the King. There is only one King and thousands of packs. He can not be at all of them. But the troubling part of it all is that the Elders were Fae.” I explained.

Acrux sat there stunned. “We are going to have to investigate that. Fae do not die that easily and only the Fae know what can kill them. We have our own weapons but they have been hidden away by both queens for years. So there must be a Fae involved in this.” He said. “We will help you clean up the Kingdom before Fenrir gets back. It will not be easy but we will do it to keep you and the rest of the Wolves safe.”

“There is a problem with that. I do not know where the Elders resided.” I say.

“No worries we will figure it out. Now let us wake our mate and get Hydrus.” Acrux says.

I get up and walk over to AnLeon and shake him awake. He looks startled at first til he sees me standing over him. He smiles and sits up. Standing up and stretching he says, “Good morning, how are you feeling?”

“I am feeling good. Come on we need to get going.” I say

“Hold up and let me get us clothes love,” He says as he produces clothes for all three of us.

“Thank you. I reply getting dressed.

He produced a gorgeous baby green silk maxi dress that felt like water on my skin. The guys are dressed in something similar but with pants and a shirt. Once we are all dressed I grab their hand and walk them forward in to the loch. Just before we get to the edge I stop and look at them.

“I need you both to know that I am not pregnant. My forms prevented it and they said that I will be unable to have more children til the babes are fully grown and taken their roles. I am assuming they will grow fast but I need you to know.” I said. They both looked at me and just smiled and nodded their heads.

“How bad is Fenrir?” I link AnLeon.

“Bad. I do not recognize the man he is anymore. He has caused Chris a lot of damage. Plus we have a huge mess to clean up because of him now.” AnLeon says.

Shit it has gotten bad. I can not believe he would not only put himself in danger but all of us. I am so going to kick his ass when I see him.

We walked into the loch and I produced a water bubble filled with air so the guys could breathe. I led the way under the water letting my Kelpie show me where to go. After a fifteen minute walk We made it to a small house. I knocked on the door and waited. We only had to wait a couple minutes til someone answered the door. Hydrus’s mom answered and pulled me in to a big hug. Then she started crying. I stood there hugging here close letting her cry. I did not know what was wrong but I wanted to console her regardless. After a few minutes her crying subsided and she pulled back smiling at me.

“I am so happy you made it. I mean you can not really die but you would have been in a coma for a long time while your body healed. Come in everyone. Hydrus is feeding the twins right now. I know you have questions and need to get back but come in for a little bit first.” Hydrus’s mom says to us.

We enter her home and it is much larger on the inside then the outside. I hear crying and immediately bee line over to the babe crying. I pick her up. She is so small but she got her second chance at a good life and I know just who I should let raise her. She was so precious, she instantly started smiling at me when I picked her up. She looks just like Keith. Thankfully I see none of Isobel in her. I think that would have devastated Keith.

“Do not worry little one I will bring you to your papa very soon.” I coo at her.

I turn around and everyone is staring at me. “What?” I ask

“This is the first time she has been quiet since we got here.” Hydrus says.

“That is because she does not belong here. I will be bringing her to where she belongs. She has Isobels Wolf inside her. This is her second chance at life. The Gods and Goddesses chose to give her this when she gave up her life to save our babes.” I said pointedly to Hydrus.

“We need to talk. I need to explain what happened and why we were not there and to apologize to you.” Hydrus says.

“Come, lets everyone sit at the table and we will talk while you eat. I am sure you all are famished.” Hydrus mom says.

“What is your name? I am sorry we never got properly introduced.” I asked Hydrus’s mom.

“It is Ida my dear and do not worry about it. You had other things to worry about yesterday. I am just glad I made it to you in time.” Ida says.

“Where is Persephone?” I asked when I realized I had not seen her.

“Oh she went back to the castle to talk with that nurse. Hmm what was her name….. Cleo that was it.” Ida says, “She has been acting strangely since she got back. Do you know what happened?”

“Oh, Ok. All I can tell you is that she had been kidnapped and I found her in our dungeons. The rest is her story to tell. I will not break her trust even for her family.” I explain.

Ida starts weeping and I go over to her to soothe her. Softly for her ears only I say, “She will be ok. But she will need you there for her.” I wipe Ida’s tears and look into her eyes showing her my sincerity. She stares in to my eyes then nods her head in acknowledgment of what I said. She gives me one more hug before she moves away to the counter.

We all sit down at the table and watch Ida start setting food on the table. She then passes Hydrus the place settings and goes back to getting the rest of the food together. Hydrus stands up and sets the table grumbling under his breath. I chuckle at his childish behavior, and he glares at me. So I stick out my tongue at him which makes him laugh. He finishes setting the table with a smile on his face. At least he is not all grumpy anymore. Once Ida sits we all dig in. Our plates are full and we all start eating. I am about half way done with my plate when I get tired of the silence.

“Speak Hydrus. I have no more patience for your silence. You had better have a very good reason why I was abandoned with a mate that could not help me,” I say finally.

Hydrus sighs and rubs his face. He looks tired and exhausted. It takes him a few minutes for him to respond and the silence is driving me nuts right now. “Fenrir and I were laying with you trying to keep the babes calm. Persephone had already gone back home by this time. You had fallen asleep again and we were not sure when you were going to wake up again. This is after you cried your self to sleep with Persephone holding you. You did not even give us a chance to speak to you before storming off by the way. You slamming the bedroom door knocked us out of our stupor and we went to follow you but Fenrir stopped suddenly and put his finger to his lips. As we stood there listening we heard you crying but we heard whispering as well that was not Persephone. We quietly searched trying to find where it was coming from.” Hydrus said after taking a few deep breaths.

“I can attest to what he is saying love. They were going to follow you. I even heard the whispers but could not find where they were coming from. What I do not understand though is who could get so close and still be unseen,” AnLeon states questioningly.

Hydrus said, “We understand where you were coming from and that your forms were driving you to do it. But you did not even give us a chance to help you. What if something bad had happened down there in the dungeons? Or someone kidnapped you too. I am greatful that you saved my baby sister but at what risk was it done in. I know you trust Keith but there are some powerful Fae down in that dungeon. Did you even think of that?”

“Ok, so now we know why you three were gawking at me even though it was rude, I still understand. Yes I understood the risk, but that risk was for me to take. You two are so out there in your heads that you did not even realize that the Fae have been kidnapping other Fae to replace the ones in the dungeons. It was crucial that is was done when it was. That being said I want you to tell me why you were not with me when I woke up the second time.” I said.
