Chapter 1
Non-Elemental Universe
The night seems to creep up without the dawn’s knowledge. This didn’t seem to matter to the great people of The Atlantic Pack. They are always ready to embrace the usual ashen night, as billions of stars both explode and live, into the serendipity of duality that is their shared existence, both with futility and eternal hope.
Yet there is something different about this night compared to every other night. The sky is picturesque. A black-to-navy gradient was the backdrop for a full moon; the night sky is so clear you could almost see every crater. The moon seems to be closer and larger. Glowing yellowy white, looming large, surrounded by an ethereal glow.
Down below there were two lovely couples who were able to escape their kids and have a night of their own.
Making love at the beach. Their loud moans were silenced by the forthy, blue-green saltwater water crashing into the moon-reflected shoreline in waves, then crashing against the shore, small waves washing the night’s debris onto the land.
The couple were interrupted by a sudden loud crash and the entire pack’s land lights went out momentarily. Starting up an automatic emergency alarm throughout the entire Atlantic Pack’s land. Some distance away in the ocean is a faint gold pulsating glow, creating strong ocean waves, white foam created the top of the waves as they approach, spilling onto the sand like a net being cast.
The couple named Dyami and Tallulah, bewildered by this, quickly got dressed and ran closer to the ocean shore.
“Dyami! What are you doing?” Tallulah yells out to her mate.
Dyami had already taken off, “There’s something out there! I’m going to see what is, mindlink Alpha!”
Tallulah ran after Dyami and grabbed his arm, “The hell you are!”
“Tallulah, listen to me.”
“NO!” She cried out and pointed, “Dyami, look at the ocean.”
Out at the sea, the colossal waves crash onto the thick, wet sand. An abrupt blazing streak of gold lightning bolts crashed down into the sea where the gold pulsating glow grew brighter and brighter with each strike from the bolts.
The waves begin to crash violently against the large rocks. Dyami holding Tallulah tightly in his embrace moves them back from the shore. Dyami instantly packlinks Alpha Jackob and the rest of the warriors.
This became an unusual night for the Atlantic Pack. Dyami looks up as the grey sky clouds illuminate the sky but nowhere else has the lightning strike besides this one place. To make matters more strange, the full moon seemed to be moving closer in depth and getting larger. It continued to glisten brighter than ever in a hue of yellowy white almost gold like now.
“What the-.....” Dyami was interrupted by his observation when Alpha Jackob arrived.
“What the hell is going on!” Alpha Jackob shouted over the loud crashing waves.
The ocean currents’ rage grew, with the merciless wind causing enormous waves to crash and erupt like lava coming down from a raging volcano. The salty air whipped their faces as they struggled to fight the wild sandy wind.
The warriors came as commanded, “Take her!” Dyami yelled to one of the warriors.
“No! Don’t do this!” Tallulah screamed out as tears streamed down her face. She knew he wouldn’t listen. This was his responsibility as a Bete of the pack but she didn’t care. All she could think about was the danger that folds.
Tallulah refused to walk away from the shore, she wanted to stay exactly where she could see her mate. With permission from their Beta, the warriors lifted her from the ground and quickly ran far away from the scene.
“I love you Tallulah”, Dyami mindlinked her before running to the sea with Alpha Jackob and Gamma Enapay.
The furious waves crash against them, while they continue to swim and swim tirelessly as the froth from the waves and wind slowly begin to freeze their faces and bodies.
The temperature of the water suddenly dropped below freezing level. The waves stand tall and are determined to wipe them away. Before that could happen the guys mindlink each other to go underwater in hopes of avoiding the lashes of the mighty waves that were to come.
Underwater, everything is full of colour – just… colour tinted with a green-blue light that came from a large stone that shines brightly further below. Without any thought Dyami swam further down to the stone.
The stone cracks open, and Dyami is stunned when he sees what is inside. There is a baby wrapped inside the stone. He checked for Jackob and Enapay to see if they were anywhere near, Jackob was still conscious but they were having a hard time reaching Enapay through the mindlink.
“We gotta get back to shore, Dyami, or Enapay won’t make it!” Jackob panic.
Dyami nodded and assisted Jackob in getting Enapay back up the surface for air.
Dyami bravely went back underwater and swam closer to the gold egg-shaped gemstone, unsure if the baby was still alive he picked up the stone with the baby inside. Surprise how light it felt he knew that was the least of his worries, air is what he needs.
He furiously swims up to the surface. He wasn’t sure if the baby was still alive, he only thought to bury the baby properly once on land. As he attempts to swim back up the stone becomes heavier and heavier as if a magical force is pulling him down with the stone. Before he could reach the surface the stone starts to crack into pieces and a surge of light explodes. Suddenly everything went completely white for Jackob, Dyami and Enapay.
A distant warning howl is heard.
Dyami slightly opened his eyes and the first thing to greet him was the baby’s doe eyes staring at him in anticipation. Her eyes glowed gold before going back to their amber-coloured eyes. Dyami sat upright and the baby girl started to clap and giggle.
“Ba…Baba..” she said while clapping.
She crawls to Jackob and Enapay who lay on the ground next to each other, arms outstretched. She places her small hand on Jackob’s palms. Water appeared and came out of her small hands and glowed silvery blue, floating around Jakob’s body. She turned to Enapay and proceeded to do the same for Enapay.
As the mass of water continues to flow around their bodies. She crawled to Dyami with a smile on her face, climbed on top of him and snuggled herself to an instant slumber.
Dyami is rooted in place. Still in disbelief at what he witnessed. The feeling of shock all went away when he looked at the baby girl sleeping. Having two daughters, he and his wolf instantly felt a connection with this baby girl. They became protective over this strange child that came from the sky. He caressed her soft brown hair and listened to her steady heartbeat while he waited for the warriors to arrive.
“I wonder how Tallulah will feel about having another baby girl.”
