Chapter 85 Never Been A Single Mother
“I know your men have already located us, but there are several bombs buried under the warehouse. If you all dare act recklessly, be prepared to have your children end up in pieces.”
After hanging up the phone, Cynthia glanced at Colton and Yoel.
The two of them instantly understood her intentions and objected almost in unison, “No, You can’t go in there.”
Infuriated, Colton grabbed Cynthia’s wrist. “What good does your current action do other
spare than to offer yourself up on a silver platter? Do you really think she would the two children because of this?”
Cynthia looked at Colton calmly and slowly withdrew her hand. “I can take a hidden camera with me to locate the bombs.”
Even though she had no idea why Lynda suddenly lost her mind, Lynda’s hostility toward her was intense, so she was sure to have her enter the warehouse.
“I’ll go.” Yoel suddenly stood up, his dark gaze fixed on Cynthia. “A couple of days ago, I had a huge row with Lynda, and I said a lot of things that upset her. I intended to make her give up on me, but I didn’t expect her reaction to be so extreme.”
He turned and looked in the direction of the warehouse, adding, “Besides, she wants to get a marriage certificate with me. You going over won’t be of good
Cynthia shook her head, but just then, her phone rang. Lynda’s voice drifted out, tinged with a smile. “So, have you figured out how to fulfill my demand?”
Yoel swiftly snatched the phone, his voice icy as he said. “We’re in the remote suburbs. How are we supposed to get a marriage certificate here? Why don’t you come out first? Then, we
can-
Before he could finish his utterance, Lynda burst into hysterical laughter. “Yoel, that was exactly what you told me when you left me all those years ago. But what happened after that? You never showed up again!”
Her voice was sharp and piercing. “I will never trust you again! Cynthia, Yoel, get in here right now, both of you!”
No sooner had those words echoed than slaps rang out from the warehouse. Luna and Lukas began sobbing. “Mommy…”
At that moment, murderous intent seized Cynthia.

She gripped the weapon in her hand tightly, wishing she could immediately rush in to ki Lynda and hold her two children close.
Unfortunately, she couldn’t do that.
Dark red blood dripped from her palm onto the ground. Seeing that, Colton quickly pried her hand off. “Have you lost your mind?”
Upon hearing his voice, Cynthia’s eyes suddenly lit up.
She clung tightly to his hand and said into the phone. “Lynda, I don’t mind if you want me to go in, but the children are innocent. They are not Yoel’s children but! He is their father!”
Colton’s pupils abruptly constricted, and he looked at Cynthia incredulously
But right then, Cynthia had no time to bother about his thoughts. She merely tried her best to explain things to Lynda. “After my divorce from Colton. I discovered I was pregnant. I didn’t want our innocent children to bear the burden of our mistakes, so I decided to keep them! You’ve been a single mother too, so you should understand-
Lynda interrupted her with a snort of laughter. “What are you talking about? I’ve never been a single mother.”
“What?” Abruptly cut off. Cynthia stared at Yoel in disbelief. Yoel was also taken aback.
“Enough with the nonsense! I don’t care who the father of the two children is “If you don’t come in, I’ll gift the kids a few minor scars. Her tone was both light–hearted and threatening “I’m giving you three minutes. If you’re even a minute late. I’ll make a cut on their little
arms…
Before Lynda had even finished speaking. Cynthia snatched the walkie–talkie from the hands of the head bodyguard and sprinted toward the warehouse entrance.
Yoel followed closely behind, but Colton remained rooted to the spot, his brow furrowed deeply. “Have everyone find a good angle. Act immediately once anything goes awry.”
Cynthia’s words to Lynda earlier flashed across his mind, and he found himself unconsciously taking out a cigarette and lighting it.
“Cynthia, you’d best come back safe and sound.”
