Bridging Worlds: Book 1 Celestoria's Time

Chapter Memory's Blood pact

As the meeting dispersed, Hargan couldn’t help but notice the hushed conversation between General Dale and Consort Rosenda. However, he chose to disregard it and remained focused on his duties, engaging in a conversation with Rosche instead.

“Lady Rosche, regarding what you said yesterday...” Hargan began, but Rosche swiftly cut him off, dismissing her own words. “It was nothing! Just a fleeting thought, perhaps due to my injuries or some other reason. I was speaking nonsense.”

“Really? Because what you shared seemed rather important,” Hargan insisted.

Rosche attempted to divert the topic with a laugh. “It was nothing, really. It’s not as if you were suggested some forbidden spell to go back in time and then forgetting to mention the memory loss part,” she chuckled nervously, trying to downplay the matter.

“That’s a possible scenario, but it’s best if you refrain from mentioning it to others, as that spell could exact a significant toll on someone’s life,” Hargan cautioned.

Rosche, however, couldn’t entirely conceal her unease.

“Right... I wish I could just knock something into his head to jog his memory and maybe use some spell to awaken him,” Rosche laughed, attempting to inject some levity.

In response to Rosche’s downplay act, Hargan chuckled and remarked, “Well, if you truly want to jog his memory, a bit of bloodshed might do the trick.”

Rosche, catching on to the intriguing information, questioned, “What do you mean, shed some blood?”

“You’d have to cut their palm to evoke a recollection, as the wound activates their connection to reality.” Hargan explained. “But it would only be effective if he has a connection to someone,”

“That simple?” Rosche queried, her curiosity now fully engaged.

“Simple…? But It must be done at night during a full moon for optimal effectiveness,” Hargan added, providing a crucial detail.

The conversation took on a more serious tone as Rosche absorbed this newfound information.
