Chapter Chapter Eighteen
The man's name was Viktor. The one who appeared out of nowhere by helicopter and told us he was going to help us take down our president. It was still strange to me that this man decided now to help us. Why did it take so long for him to switch sides? And why now?
We were all gathered in the dining area. Grandma Charlotte handed Viktor and his friend a cup of coffee.
"As I have mentioned before, we are here to help, however way we can." Viktor spoke up as he set his mug down gazing at each and every one of us. I shifted in my seat, eyebrows furrowed before glancing at Noah, who was staring Viktor down.
"Alright, you're here to help. How?" He asked, his arms crossed over his chest. Viktor turned his gaze to his friend then back to Noah.
"We don't have a group like yours. Many of us have tried to create groups to stop our own government, but it was too difficult to continue. So we did what we thought best and to work alongside our governments, keep ourselves protected, gain intel. Until it was finally time." He explained.
"Weeks before your attack, your president made a call to ours. Told us he needed our help. So we came here, and that's when we saw you kids trapped." He added as he made eye contact with me.
"After you were imprisoned, me and a few other of my men decided it was time to step up. Little by little we began taking down your presidents forces."
"What are you talking about?" I asked with a slight raised eyebrow and leaned forward in my seat, now interested in what he had to say.
"Some of my men have gone undercover, disguised as the presidents guards. It took a while because your president was very strict on security. So for months we made sure to lay low." Viktor said as he leaned forward with his hands folded on the table.
"We were going to bust you out, but your grandparents beat us to it." His friend added. I gave a slight nod, my thoughts wrapping around what they just said. I took in a deep breath before letting it out slowly.
"Okay, so you're here to help us. What do you have planned?" I asked looking between the two of them.
"We know President Martin is looking for you, so, we thought you'd come with us, undercover disguised as my men in our uniforms. He wouldn't suspect that."
"Great...more undercover shit." Ben blurted out.
"It's the only option that we have left at this point."
Noah sighed rubbing his face with his hands. The rest of the group stayed quiet, not really knowing what to say. My eyes shifted over to the older group, Joe, Dave, Alec, Linda, Jill and my grandparents.
"It's up to you now kid." Joe said.
"What are you talking about?" I asked as I glanced at all of them.
"Sam, we have been in this fight for a long long time, it's coming to an end. Whatever decisions we made, the mistakes we made, it's all in the past to help prepare you guys for the future. You kids are the future. You do this, the rest of the world will follow." My grandpa Oliver spoke, everyone beside him gave a nod in agreement. I turned my attention to Noah, Krista, Kyle and Ben.
"What do you say Sam? Kick some ass, one last time." Noah said, a slight smirk on his face. I looked back at Viktor before I spoke up.
"Okay, we'll do it."

Two weeks passed while we prepped for what I hoped would be our final fight against the president and the government. We had lost a lot of time since we were in prison, but we had to make sure we were all safe. I didn't know what would happen if I lost anymore people around me. After I lost my parents, I had to make sure to protect everyone else around me, no matter the cost.
While the boys were packing up, Krista and I were loading up all the guns and rifles that we needed, making sure we had enough. Thankfully we now had more back up, more people supporting our side.
"Hey Sam?" Krista spoke up breaking the silence between us.
"Hmm?" I bummed as I placed one of the rifles into the box and closed it before turning my attention to her.
"What do you think is gonna happen? After we win?" She asked with a raised eyebrow. I thought for a moment at her question, a pretty good question. In all honesty I had no idea what was going to happen. The main priority on my mind was taking down President Martin for all and ending his reign. I didn't know what was going to happen right after. I quickly shook my head before speaking up.
"I'm gonna be truthful here and say that I have no fucking clue. Let's take down President Asshole and we go from there." I said with a reassuring smile. Krista gave me a nod before she spoke.
"You're right. Let's go kick some ass." She said picking up the loaded box as the two of us met up with the others.
Viktor stopped mid conversation and turned his attention to us.
"Great, we're all here. We have everything?"
I gave a nod holding up the box. "Rifles and guns. Check." Krista said with a wide smile
"Grenades. Check." Ben and Kyle simultaneously spoke.
"I just want to say, before we go out there. That I'm really glad I have all of you in my life, and that we have each other's backs no matter what. This is the last mission. Our final mission. We have the strength. We have the numbers. We have each other." Noah preached. My eyes flickered to the others who nodded their heads slowly as he spoke.
"This is our final mission. And this is our time to bring that fucker down and live our lives the way we are supposed to. We do this together. We come out of this...together. The only losses I wanna see is President Dickwad and his men."
"Preach!!." Ben fist pounded the air. I let out a chuckle and shook my head before making eye contact with Noah.
"Alright everyone, let's go!" Joe called out from the boat. Everyone piled onto the boat, leaving me and Noah alone for a moment.
"Great speech." I commented with a giggle.
"I tried my best." Noah replied as he wrapped an arm around my neck placing a kiss on my forehead.
"I can't believe this is the final fight." I said as the two of us made our way towards the boat.
"Yeah, I know. We've come a long way."
"A year in prison?" I questioned and he shook his head.
"That doesn't count. Besides, being locked up in there...you would think it made us weak, but it didn't."
I turned my head slightly to get a better look at him. He was right of course. Prison made us stronger. The five of us in there made sure to keep our spirits lifted and that when we got out, we'd do what we got to do.
My thoughts soon wandered back to the day I met Noah. Back then things felt so simple, but deep down it was a lot more complicated than I thought. Noah and I had both changed since that day. We were full of passion and hope, we still are. But now, we're stronger than ever, and would do anything to protect each other and those around us.
I was snapped back to reality when Noah spoke up.
"Come on." He said holding his hand out to me and I gladly took it as he helped me onto the boat.
"Everyone here?" Alec spoke as we all nodded before he started up the boat, and we were off.
